Do I need a license to ride a scooter?

Do I need to wear a helmet?

Yes, scooters are considered motorized vehicles and require a DOT approved helmet. This is an important investment and you should speak to a sales representative to ensure proper style and fit. You may also want to make sure your helmet fits in the storage compartment on the bike for easy storage.

What other safety gear do I need?

Although not required, proper riding clothes are important to protect your body from accidents as well as from the elements. You should always protect your hands with gloves and wear shoes that cover your ankles. Goggles, rain gear and many other items will make your riding safer and more enjoyable.

How fast will my scooter go?

Our scooters are 50cc and will go approximately 65km per hour. For this reason it is not recommended to ride them on the highway.

Do scooters require a lot of maintenance?

Scooters are very easy to maintain. They require regular oil changes, but very little other maintenance. Be sure to read the user manual for servicing details.

Can I ride with a passenger on a scooter?

You can ride with a passenger as long as both people comfortably fit on the scooter and both have proper safety gear.

How much is scooter insurance?

Scooter insurance varies depending on your province, age and driving record. Compared to car insurance, scooters are very affordable to insure.

Are Rocket Scooters manual or automatic?

Unlike motorcycles, our scooters are fully automatic and very easy to drive.

What kind of fuel do scooters take?

Scooters take regular gas, and not a lot of it! They are very economical to drive.

Are there any scooter clubs in my area?
